When Money Matters, We Can Help!

We began Direct Funeral Services back in 1989 as a storefront operation using the above slogan. Our focus then, as now, is affordable burial and cremation options and choices so every family has the opportunity and dignity of giving their loved one a farewell that might otherwise not be affordable.

The response to our pricing and our no-nonsense approach to funeral services was met with a positive response, and we soon outgrew our first storefront, relocating into a larger storefront. In 1998, we moved to our current location at 2919 4th St. NW and upgraded to a nearly 8000-square-foot building that offers a full-service mortuary and an on-site crematory. This facility enables us to offer complete funeral services with two chapels, several visitation rooms, casket and urn selection rooms, family conference rooms, as well as many other amenities. Our licensed, professional staff members come with many years of industry experience, education, and training and are long-time New Mexico residents, sensitive to the culture and traditions of our people. We are committed to serving families during their most difficult time, and we feel our job is to "listen first" to our families' needs and then provide the care and service that our customers and their loved ones desire and deserve.

Direct Funeral Services was brought about to offer a very reasonable price for funeral services and cremation, while still maintaining a high level of service. Because of our business principle and dedication to each customer, Direct Funeral Services has become one of New Mexico's largest providers of funeral services and cremation. We serve all faiths and conduct services at all New Mexico churches and cemeteries. Our experienced staff also specializes in preparing and shipping your loved one to other states and Mexico, as well as receiving them from other states and Mexico. We are honored to do many veterans' services and offer affordable arrangements to the Santa Fe National Cemetery. We also encourage and offer pre-need, pre-planning, and pre-payment, so your plans can be noted and/or paid for in advance. We offer information and consultations and maintain files for patrons who have pre-planned and made their own arrangements ahead of time.

Please feel free to visit our facility at 2919 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107 to become acquainted with our staff, our services, and to see our display of caskets, urns, grave markers, and other fine merchandise.

Online Memorial

We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.

Tribute Video

We can produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. Simply provide us with the photographs you want to include and we will transform them into a video celebration of your treasured memories. DVDs or USB thumb drives of the video are also available.

Ordering Flowers

We make it easy for friends and family to send flowers to your home or service to honor your loved one. We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this feature to select the flowers you would like at the service. This is a secure way to choose beautiful arrangements from the privacy and comfort of your home.

Sharing Service Details

We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. We post the dates and times of the service as part of the online memorial on our website. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or X page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. Both options give you the peace of mind that you have provided the necessary information to those who need it.
