William C.
Qualls
d. Jun 18, 2021
Albuquerque
William C. Qualls "Mr. Bill", age 68, passed away peacefully where he wanted to be most--at home and with loved ones on June 18, 2021. Born in 1953 to Kenneth and Toni Qualls in Richmond, VA. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Audrey, Debbie, and Lisa.
He is survived by a daughter Marion; sister Winona; much loved nephews and nieces-- Jimmy, Leo, Vanessa, Tyana, Zack, Mitchell, Viktoria, and Mariah and their families; Aunt Monica and Uncle Louis and many, many other relatives, being from Pecos and Santa Fe originally. Bill attended school in Santa Fe, after which he joined the Navy. On discharge he did a great many things. He raced motorcycles and worked at many motorcycle shops (which he said ruined his knees). He attended school at UNM and NMSU studying math and geophysics. After graduation, he worked for a time in Wyoming. He had a wanderlust which eventually led him to try many types of jobs. He had a working knowledge of just about anything.
He was an inspiration to his family with his goofy ways, wise advice, and unfaltering love for his family. Bill loved to pester and joke with everyone. His greatest loves were math, SciFi, the newest tech, golf, working, always learning (recently taking classes at Stanford), and his daughter Marion which was the apple of his eye. He loved working with everyone at Southwest Cyberport and loved to golf on his days off, mostly at Ladera Golf Course. Bill will be greatly missed by so many people. Bill and Nonie were so incredibly grateful for the support of family and of the care and support of Dorothy, Imelda and everyone at Hospice of New Mexico.
