William P. "Bill" Laursen, passed away on Sunday morning May 2 ^nd , 2021. Bill was born on October 12 ^th , 1952 in Frankfurt, Germany and was brought to Albuquerque as an infant with his parents, Irma Freida (Nickel) and Gordon William "Bill" Laursen.

Bill spent his early years taking trips to see family in southern Colorado with his grandparents and brother Gordon. Bill later joined the family business where he worked until it was closed in 2012. Bill met his wife Jacque Naylor in 1989 and they were inseparable until his death.

Bill loved to spend time at Elephant Butte with his family and friends, travelling to see new and exciting places, and never missed an opportunity to be at the horse races. Bill loved horse racing and had great success as an owner having many quality horses in his stable over his career with numerous wins throughout New Mexico, California, and Oklahoma.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jacque of Albuquerque; son, Bill and his wife Stacy of Austin, TX; daughter, Jaime and her husband Aaron; grandkids, Tayler and Caleb of Albuquerque; brother, Gordon and his wife Veronica; nephews, Wesley and Sean; niece, Racheal; sister, Jaonne and her husband Valentino of Albuquerque.

Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Laursen of Tualatin, Oregon; father, Gordon William "Bill" Laursen of Albuquerque and by his mother, Irma Freida Robertson of Albuquerque.

Bill will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park on Saturday, Saturday May 29 ^th , 2021 in a private service with his immediate family in attendance. There will be a celebration of life held for Bill following the service at 2:00 pm for all of Bill's friends and family to attend.
