With heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of our beloved Viola Moya, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born to Alice and Faustino Carrion, Viola was a lifelong resident of the South Valley and was well known through her family business, at Phil’s Auto Parts and Service. She lived a life devoted to her family, her faith, and her community. Viola had a passion for cooking and a special gift for bringing her family together. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Viola and her beloved husband, Felipe Moya, were lifelong members of the Zapata Club and shared a lifetime of love and dedication.
She is survived by her husband, Felipe; her son, Jerry (Fran) Moya; her daughters, Sandy (Jerry) Chavez, Diana (Eddie) Baca, and Jeanette Moya; her brother, Bennie Carrion; and her great-niece, Lillian (Danny) Ortega. She was blessed with grandchildren Eddie (Annie) Baca, Larry (Ashley) Baca, Nicole Moya (Carlos Smith), James (Christina) Moya, Jessica (Thadd) Vargas, and Melissa (Dominic) Jaramillo, along with so many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who were her greatest joy.

Viola will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Though she may be gone from our sight, her love, traditions, and memories will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
Rest peacefully, Viola. You are deeply loved, will be forever missed, and will never be forgotten. May you rejoice in God’s eternal embrace.
