Veronica Francisca Gallegos "Vero" was born January 7, 1989. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, she passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Veronica loved to dress up and will always be remembered as the spoiled princess of the family. She enjoyed cooking and baking, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her heart and soul, her loving son, Horacio and all of her treasured family. As well, Veronica grew up going to car shows and she loved being a part of her low rider community. She was greatly loved and will be forever remembered.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her best friend, Gloria; her father, Morris; grandparents, Dora Gallegos, Angie Carrion and Ted Gallegos I; her uncles, Ted Gallegos II and Theodore Quintana; cousins, Angelique Carrion and Mario Diaz; and by her aunt, Berlinda Gallegos.

Veronica is lovingly survived by her son, Horacio Gallegos; siblings, Jesse Gallegos and wife Stephanie, and Monica Gallegos; grandpa, Benny Carrion; partner in crime, Lisa; aunts and uncles, Arlene, JoAnne and husband Mike, Marie and husband Robert, Angel, Vickie; aunt and godmother, Marie Bates; nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Frankie, Marianna, Diego, Arnulfo; cousins, Teddy, Julia and numerous other cousins, family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

Services will be held at Metro Church of God in Christ, 4800 Lomas Blvd. NE., on Thursday, August 18, 2022 with Pastor Andre Singletary Sr., officiating. The viewing will begin at 10:00am with the funeral service at 11:00am. A reception will follow.
