Thomas G. Turrietta Jr, age 72, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at home. Thomas was such a great man, he was an officer of the Zapata club for many years, he retired from the Best Western Rio Grande Inn after 30 years of being their chief engineer. Thomas loved being with his family, he loved fishing, bowling, tinkering on his boat and his 6:00 a.m. coffee with his buddies.

He is preceded in death by his son Eric Turrietta; father Thomas G. Turrietta Sr.; mother Rose; brother Joe; sisters' Becky and Rose Janet; and niece JoAnna Turrietta.

He is survived by his wife Lupe of 52 years; daughter Monica and husband Ernie Jr.; grandson Ernie Garcia III; granddaughter Gabriela; great grandson Ernie IV; and great-granddaughter Lia who is on the way; son Adam Turrietta and wife Crystal; grandsons Isaiah and Adrian; sisters Charlotte, Lulu, Carmen and Toni; brother Richard and wife Bonnie; numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW 87105, on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with burial following at Pajarito cemetery. Pallbearers will be his son Adam Turrietta, grandson Ernie Garcia III, grandson Isaiah Turrietta and grandson Adrian Turrietta. A celebration of his life will follow burial to the Zapata club located at 2723 Isleta boulevard Southwest 87105.
