Terecita Vigil, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. While our hearts are filled with sorrow, they are also filled with gratitude for the beautiful life she lived and the countless memories she leaves behind.

Raised in Algodones, New Mexico, Terecita carried with her a deep appreciation for family, hard work, and the simple joys of life. She came from a generation rooted in strength and resilience. Her parents, Senaida and Charlie Vigil, who were born in 1900 and 1902, instilled in their children the values of faith, love, perseverance, and devotion to family that Terecita carried with her throughout her life.

Terecita was the last surviving member of the Vigil siblings, including her beloved sister and brothers. With her passing, an extraordinary generation of the Vigil family comes to a close. She carried the stories, traditions, and memories of her family with grace and love, and her life served as a bridge between generations. While her family grieves this profound loss, they find comfort in knowing she has been joyfully reunited with her parents, her sister, her brothers, and the many loved ones who welcomed her home.

Terecita was known for her warm heart, unwavering kindness, and incredible ability to make everyone feel welcome. She was an amazing cook, and one of the greatest ways she showed her love was by preparing meals that brought family and friends together. Her kitchen was a place filled with laughter, conversation, and unconditional love.

She also found joy in life's quiet moments. She loved sitting on her porch, watching the hummingbirds flutter from flower to flower, enjoying the fresh New Mexico air, and appreciating the beauty of God's creation. Those peaceful moments reflected the gentle spirit that so many came to know and love.

Throughout her life, Terecita worked hard and built meaningful relationships everywhere she went. She began her career as a waitress, where her warm smile and caring personality naturally connected her with others. She later worked for Motorola for many years before finishing her career at Santa Ana Casino, where she formed countless lasting friendships. To those who worked beside her, she was more than a coworker—she was a true friend.

Family was the center of Terecita's life. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Wilfred Estrada; her daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Vigil; her stepdaughter, Melanie Estrada and her husband, Adam Jaramillo; her stepson, Frankie Estrada; and her sister-in-law, Fidi, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Anthony and his wife, Serenity; Dominic; Isaiah; Jonathan; Zena; Aisha and her husband, Josh; Raymos; Marisol; Natasha; and Nadya.

Nothing brought Terecita greater joy than watching her family continue to grow. She was blessed with many cherished great-grandchildren: Adrian, Ariyah, and Aiden; Osiris; Amias and Adonis; Jordan and Xavier; Dyllan, Hayden, Jaylee "Buggie," and GracieLynn; Adriel Rudy; and Lilyana Marina and Lainey Allegra-Maye.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents, Senaida and Charlie Vigil; her sister; her brothers; and her precious great-grandson, Mathias, whom she now holds in her loving arms.

Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Terecita's love will continue to live on through every family gathering, every home-cooked meal, every hummingbird that visits a porch, and every act of kindness inspired by the life she lived. She taught us that the greatest gift we can give one another is love, and that legacy will continue for generations to come.

Terecita will be remembered for her gentle heart, her quiet strength, her unwavering love for her family, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured by years alone, but by the love she shared so freely and the family she cherished above all else.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
