Tanzia M Prosper

August 2, 1971 - May 9, 2024

Tanzia M Prosper departed this life Thursday, May 9th 2024 at the age of 52. She is the daughter of Vivian J. McFarland and the late Robert P. McFarland. She is the daughter in-law of Andrea Prosper and the late Felton Prosper II. She is the wife of Felton M. Prosper III and the mother of Kaylynne V., John-Michael, and Benjamin D. Prosper. She is the sister of Gaylynne Mack (Harold), Brent P. McFarland (Monica) and Aisha M. Jones (Sheldon).

Tanzia a follower of Jesus was a Homemaker and a Homeschool Mom. She managed every aspect of the home and devoted her life to loving, teaching and serving her family. All she did was for the glory of God. Tanzia did her undergrad studies at Xavier University of NOLA, and her graduate studies at the University of Missouri in Columbia in which she completed both Master's and PhD (in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (August 1st, 1997)) degrees. She was a natural born writer, wrote and published five books in her lifetime (He Chose a Coat For Me, Gifts From A Storm, The Scripture Immersion Prayer Journals I & II & Fall From Bayithohr) and was working on a 6th book. Not only did she enjoy writing, Tanzia also loved to garden and had a passion for natural remedies and essential oils. All she wanted to be known for was her walk with Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She leaves us her cherished memories, her devoted husband and children, her siblings and their spouses, her sisters-in-law, Gisel (Becnel), Dawn (Metoyer), and Crystal (Sausberry) as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who loved and will miss her greatly.

For those who would like, you are invited to attend the graveside funeral service held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 11:00am at Vista Verde Memorial Park (4310 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, NM 87124), and or, the Celebration of Life Memorial Service held Friday, May 31st 2024 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church Rio Rancho (3906 19th Ave SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124).
