Obituary

Tania Richardson passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.  Born in Albuquerque, on February 20, 1954, she was just shy of her 72nd birthday. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Koueese Richardson and by her sister, Theda Richardson.

Tania leaves behind her three children, Misti, Micah and Lucas Hasselstrom and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her aunt, Linda Baca of Everett, WA; her cousins, Linetta and Wilfred, also of Everett; her sister, Bunny Perret of Rio Rancho, New Mexico as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss her.

Tania graduated from Valley High School in 1972, married at the time to her children's father.  She moved to Washington state in the mid 1980s and lived in Everett, Marysville, and Spokane.  She returned to Albuquerque's sunshine in 2018.  While in Everett, WA, Tania became a Roman Catholic and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help.  There she joined the St. Vincent de Paul society to help the poor.  In Albuquerque, she attended Holy Family Catholic Church. Tania was a free spirit, a true child of the 60s.  She was creative, loved to decorate, to grow plants and to be outdoors. She was a strong, loving person who overcame addictions to establish an independent, productive life.  Her help, her generosity, and her brilliant smile will be greatly missed.
