Albuquerque
Susanne K. Hatch, 82, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Known for her warmth, kindness, and strength, she touched the lives of all who had the joy of knowing her.
Born on December 13, 1942, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Clare and Edna Richardson, Susanne lived a life rooted in love, faith, and service. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), National Society Colonial Daughters of the Seventeenth Century, National Society Daughters of the American Colonists, American Legion Post 13, the Moose Lodge, and the Hispanic Genealogy Research Center.
Service to her community was close to her heart. She volunteered with the Albuquerque Citizens Police Academy, the FBI Citizens Academy, Albuquerque Fire Citizens Academy (CERT) and gave over three and a half years of service to the Albuquerque Police Department.
Over the years she held several other positions as well, always bringing her dedication and friendly spirit to every role. One of her career roles included working as an International Reservationist with the Hyatt Regency, a role that allowed her to travel the world; something she cherished deeply.
Susanne embraced life with joy and resilience. She loved to dance, try her luck at the casino slots, and spend time socializing with her many friends. She knew no stranger. Her radiant smile and positive spirit shone through, no matter what challenges she faced.
She was one of five siblings and was preceded in death by her parents, Clare and Edna; and her brothers, Arthur Richardson, Marvin Richardson, and Clare Brian Richardson. She is survived by her sister, Mary Hudson; her daughters, Roxanna Garcia, Vonda Casaus, Kamala Asciak, Kayla Rodriquez, and Sharla Robinson and their families; thirteen beloved grandchildren; seven adored great-grandchildren; and one eagerly awaited great-grandchild soon to arrive.
