Steven Boyd Walker, age 59, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2023. He was born on February 5, 1964 in Albuquerque, NM to Evelyn and Truman Walker.

Steve was a wonderful husband who always brought me surprises including beautiful flowers. He was an awesome father making sure we were never left without!!! Steve had many talents and hobbies. He was an awesome and great craftsman. He would build so many things from chairs to conference tables, etc. When Steve built something he did so with all of his heart, mind and soul. And in his own words "to the knatz @ 55.

He also loved working on cars and started racing sprint and dirt cars at the age of 18 years. He loved speed and was never afraid to do anything. Steve started working with Rudy Garley at Sundown Homes at the age of 14. He also worked with Robbie Travis for Advantage Builders and Stanley Structures. After he graduated from high school he moved to Arizona to be near his parents. He also worked with Coreslab for 37 years. He loved the work that he did and loved building and never got tired of it.

Steve loved to listen to Rock-n-roll and country music, which he loved to play music trivia with his wife. He loved his country and was a true Patriot. He stood for his Red, White and Blue and was never scared or embarrassed to show it.

He was preceded in death by his brother Timothy Walker and by his mother Evelyn Walker.

Steve is survived by his wife Felicia Walker; son Troy Walker (Caitlyn Power); father Truman Walker; sister Cindy Walker; stepchildren Sarah Huber (Jared Huber) of Michigan, J.D. Smoyer (Caitlyn) of Georgia, Kaleb Smoyer of Arizona; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Faithway Fellowship Baptist Church, 568 NM 344 Edgewood, NM.
