STEVE L. NUÑEZ

1960 - 2025

Steve Louis Joseph Nuñez, 64, was born on July 21, 1960 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Elias and Severa Nuñez, brothers Pete and Eloy Nuñez, and sisters Estella D. Lopez and Shirley Ann Saavedra.

Steve is survived by his sisters, Gloria M. Valencia, Mary Agnes Mariscal and husband Clyde Mariscal, and by his brother, Daniel J. Nuñez and life partner Arthur Manzanares. As well, he was a godparent to 3 and an uncle to 23, a great uncle to 46 and a great great uncle to 20. He enjoyed his role as an uncle to his many nephews and nieces and taught them life and survival skills such as fishing, hunting, hiking, camping and every day skills that included working on cars, construction and cooking. When he was younger, he was able to spend that quality time with the kids and they loved it and him. He also had a special place in his heart for animals. If he could have, he would have rescued every animal, no matter what size, and kept them at home.  After a long, hard fought battle with his illness, he is now resting in peace with his Maker and all of his family, relatives and friends.
