Shyla Mary-Kay Lewis left her earthly dwelling to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Born December 18, 1998, Shyla had been and is still surrounded by loving family.

She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Chebahtah; biological father, Shayne Lewis; father, Eric Peifer; brothers, Shayne Chebahtah and Kacy Peifer; her partner, Joey Naz and his mother, Elaine Nez; as well as a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her just as much.

Shyla had a very passionate and vivid personality that would seep into the lives that surrounded her. This was prevalent in her work and daily life. She enjoyed being around her family and supporting them in any way that she could.

Although she has departed this materialistic world, her memory and legacy continues on in the lives she has touched.

Funeral Services will be held at Holy Child Parish in Tijeras, New Mexico on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. The visitation will begin at 9:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at San Antonito Cemetery in Sandia Park, New Mexico.
