Mr. Shelden DeLara Sr. a lifelong resident of Placitas, NM, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the age of 70.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.  He also loved building projects for his family.  He also loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Antonio DeLara; mother Reyna DeLara and Herman Chavez; and brother Elmer DeLara.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Eva DeLara; children Katrina Kraft and husband Greg, Shelden DeLara Jr. and wife Tanya, Vincent DeLara and wife Kim; Marlena Torres and husband Chris Torres;  siblings Harvey DeLara and wife Elaine, and Curtis DeLara and Judy DeLara; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.   He will be deeply missed by his loving family.
