Ruth "Rudie" Lydia Jacot-Guillarmod (nee Spangler), age 72, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in Sandia Park, New Mexico. Born November 23, 1951, Rudie lived a life marked by adventure, compassion and unwavering love for her family.
Rudie graduated from Toms River High School and attended UNM. She embarked on a diverse career path including working on the Boardwalk at Seaside Heights, bank teller, manager, and contributing to the family business.
Throughout her life, Rudie was a pillar of strength and kindness. She was known for her grit and ability to fight through challenges with a smile. Her love for her family was profound; love was indeed a verb for Rudie. Rudie's laughter was contagious and her warmth drew people to her. Rudie relished working in the garden, crafting special cards, and participating actively in community and church events. She was a devoted member of Mountain Valley and Legacy Church East Campus, where she loved to worship and serve.
Rudie leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years, Dan; son, Steven, and family; daughter, Nicole, and family; sister, Patricia, and family; as well as brothers-in-law, John and Dave, and their families.
A Celebration of Life for Rudie will be held at Legacy Church East Campus, 4701 Wyoming Blvd NE, ABQ, NM 87109, December 4, 2024, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Feed the Kids, a ministry of Legacy Church. Rudie's legacy of love, service, and courage will continue to inspire all those who knew her.
