Rudy Donald Padilla

1964 - 2026

Rudy Donald Padilla went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026. He was born on May 27th, 1964, in Las Vegas New Mexico to Filiberto Padilla and Arabella Padilla.

Rudy loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife. He loved playing basketball and being able to coach his children in it. Rudy had a heart of gold and will be missed. Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Padilla; his father, Filiberto Padilla; his mother, Arabella Padilla; his brother, Rudy Padilla; his sister, Lucille Padilla; his nephew, Brian Padilla and by his grandson, Michael Padilla.

Rudy will be remembered for his generosity for others, especially family, his strength, his wise words and his guidance to his children and grandchildren.

Rudy is survived by his son, Kevin Padilla and daughter in-law, Syera Padilla; daughter, Crystal Marfil and her husband, John Marfil and daughter, Lucille Padilla; sister, Sylvia Padilla and her husband, Luis Quintana; brother, Henry and his wife Dorothy Padilla; several nieces and nephews and god children;  five grandchildren, Kendra Marfil, Aleicia Padilla, Josiah Marfil, Alianna Padilla and Angelika Padilla. He had also welcomed his first Great Grandson, Koah Marfil.

Services will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, NM. 87124, on Monday, June 29, 2026. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am with a reception following in the Parish Hall at 11:30.
