Rudy F. Alvarez, age 80, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the city where he was born on December 29, 1943.

Rudy honorably served his country in the US Army for four years.

In 1972, Rudy relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. He began a prosperous career in the casino industry. Starting as a blackjack dealer, he eventually ascended to the role of casino supervisor, working at various renowned casinos.

Beyond his professional life, Rudy was an avid golfer, often found on the greens and enjoyed the sport he loved. Golf was not just a hobby but a passion that provided him with many hours of joy and relaxation.

Rudy was a beloved father grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Monica Thomas, Vikki Willett and Bonnie Mosca; grandchildren, Jennifer March, Nicole Thomas, Danielle Thomas, Robert Willett, Adryan Mosca and Marissa Mosca and by his  great grandchildren, Braydon, Trinity and Hunter. His family remembers him as a loving and dedicated patriarch who's guidance and affection helped shape their lives.

A service to honor Rudy will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 am, with US Army Honors, at Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM 87501.

His commitment to his country and his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
