Rosela Acosta

1955 - 2026

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Rosela Acosta, who was born on May 27, 1955. Rosela was the heart and rock of our family. Her unwavering love, strength, kindness, and devotion touched everyone who knew her. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, her love and legacy will remain with us forever.

Rosela was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eulogio Silva and Cecilia Silva; her cherished daughters, Linda Parra and Delihla Lee; her beloved grandson, Juan Cano; her sister, Grace Contreras; and her brothers, David Silva and Freddy Silva.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Bernadette Najera and husband Manuel Najera. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren, Selena Najera, Esperanza Najera and spouse, Manuel Najera II, Brianna Najera, Cecilia Garcia, and Jesus Gonzalez. She was blessed with two precious great-grandchildren, Emilio Najera and Anastasia Nicholson, who brought her immense joy.

Rosela is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Herman Silva, Ralph Silva, Anthony Silva, and John Silva; her sisters, Monica Martinez and Lisa Martinez and husband Arthur Martinez; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Rosela's life was a beautiful example of unconditional love, resilience, and generosity. She devoted herself to her family and found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved. Her memory will forever be treasured, her love will continue to guide us, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Forever in our hearts, always in our prayers, and never forgotten.

The family of Rosela Acosta respectfully invites relatives and friends to join them in celebrating her life and honoring her memory.

In accordance with Rosela's wishes, funeral services for Rosela Acosta and David "Cookie" Silva will be held together.

The Rosary and Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, located at 301 S. Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM 87004 on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will immediately follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, located at 315 U.S. Highway 550, Bernalillo, NM 87004.

Following the burial, family and friends are invited to gather for refreshments and fellowship at the family home, 934 Highway 314, Bernalillo, NM 87004.
