Rose Agnes Benavidez "Rosie"

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Rose Agnes Benavidez, known to many as Rosie, age 61, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Rosie was strong and compassionate and her resilience and steady presence were a source of strength to all who knew her.

Rosie was born February 12, 1964 in Albuquerque, the daughter of Louie Benavidez and Mary Lorraine Cook. She worked 25 years for Albuquerque Public Schools in which she retired from in 2020.

Rosie's greatest enjoyment was supporting her favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with her family.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th Street NW Albuquerque, NM 87107. Private viewing for immediate family from 2:00-3:00 pm, followed by services for friends and family from 3:00-5:00 pm. Interment will be at the Santa Clara at a later date.
