Ronald "Ron"
Sedillo
May 16, 1958 — May 16, 2026
Albuquerque
Ronald "Ron" Sedillo, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 68.
Ron was born with a competitive spirit and a heart full of life. A gifted athlete, he excelled in football, baseball, basketball, and track, earning the admiration of teammates and friends alike. Whether on the field, at a campsite, or on the dance floor, Ron brought energy, laughter, and joy wherever he went. He loved the outdoors, treasured time spent camping with family and friends, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy music and dancing.
Above all, Ron's greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Amanda Sedillo and Lauren Sedillo and husband Sam Meyers. He was especially excited and overjoyed to become a grandfather, eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first grandson this August.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Remijo and Maria Sedillo, and his brother, Edward "Ted" Sedillo.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his brothers, Raymond Sedillo, Rick Sedillo and wife Val, Rudy Candelaria and wife Anita, and Ted Vallejos and wife Terese; and his sisters, Rosemary Varela, Donna Romero and husband Rudy, Jeanette Sanchez and husband Ray, and Valeri Poling and husband Don, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends; and special recognition to Roberta Flores and husband Harry Irizarry.
Ron will be remembered for his strength, sense of humor, kind heart, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort knowing he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
