Robert Richard "Scooter" Scouten, 69, passed away on March 21, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Born on May 27, 1955, in Muskegon, Michigan, Robert dedicated much of his life to service and hard work. He had a distinguished military career, first serving in the Army, where he worked on tanks and collected many wild stories from that time. Later, he transitioned to the Air Force, where he served as a Tech Sergeant and was a crew chief on the C-130s.  His years in the military were a source of great pride for him.

After his military retirement, Robert continued his dedication to service by working for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail handler for 10 years. He took immense pride in retiring at the age of 54 from the post office, marking another milestone in his accomplished career.

Beyond his professional life, Robert was a man of deep passions and quiet strength. He loved riding motorcycles and found joy in the open road. His cat Sunnie was a cherished companion; he also enjoyed watching movies and listening to music – especially AC/DC. Though reserved by nature, Robert's love for his family was unwavering and fierce.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Tammy; his son Jason; his stepchildren Trevor (Jessica), Abbey, and Nick; and his precious grandchildren Tylar, Adelaide, and Evelyn. He is also survived by his brother Michael and sister Sheri. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer; his parents Richard and LouAnn; and his brother Steve.

A significant moment in Robert's journey came when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, March 8, 2025 - a true testament to the faith that guided him in his final days.

Robert's legacy lives on through the memories shared by those who knew him best. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
