Robert Leo Olsen was born December 28, 1968 in Albuquerque. He passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 with loved ones by his side.

Robert was a joy to be around, especially if you were a kid. He always gave great bear hugs and tried to make you laugh. He was a go-with-the-flow and loyal man who enjoyed family gatherings and cooking meals for all to share. He liked to make baked beans for family BBQs, soups, desserts, and cookies at Christmas. Robert had several jobs in his life, but he had the most fun calling Bingo for White Rose Bingo Hall. He loved movies, music, good food, sports, the Dallas Cowboys, and his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Carrara; father, Leo Olsen;  grandparents, Leo and Annie Lucero and by his brother-in-law, Rocky MacDonald.

Robert is survived by his "wife at heart", Liz Lucero; kids, Monica (Johnathan), Veronica, and Mario; grandkids, Jayleen (BFF), Jessi (SBFF), Antonio, Aubrii, and Sammy; great-granddaughter, Aurora; dad, Bruno Carrara; sisters, Gayle Olsen, Stephanie Francis (Paul), Jeanna MacDonald as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church on Monday, August 11, 2025.  The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am and the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:15am. A reception will immediately follow Mass, and the committal service will follow the reception at Sunset Memorial Park.

Robert always had a sharp haircut and a fresh spritz of cologne. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
