Rita Z. Escamilla of Eden, Texas went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 72. Rita was born September 30, 1949 to Antonio and Ramona Zapata in Brady, Texas. Living in Eden most of her life, she worked as a CNA and was a member of St Charles Catholic Church. Rita loved to dance, to spend time with her family and to cook. She was loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Ramona Zapata; her husband, Felipe Escamilla; her son, Barry Bivens and her granddaughter, Brianna Escamilla. Rita is survived by her four daughters, Tina Roybal and husband Dino of Albuquerque, NM, Melissa Morquecho of Brady, TX, Beatrice Reyes and husband David of San Angelo, TX, and Tanya Bivens of Brady, TX.; one son, Gabriel Escamilla of Eden, TX.; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 5 sisters; 2 brothers; as well as other family members and friends. Services will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church, 302 Moss St. Eden, TX 76837, on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Brady, Texas
