Richard Erwin Roble, age 71, passed away peacefully at his Rio Rancho home on Thursday, November 30th , 2023 with his family by his side. He was born January 13th 1952 in Pueblo, Colorado to Frank and Frieda Roble.

RIchard graduated from West Mesa High in 1970, went in to UNM and TVI where he received an Associates Degree in Business Management  and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, while making the Dean's list and graduating Phi Beta Kappa.

He was a photographer for the Albuquerque Tribune,  KOAT-7, and KRQE-13, worked for SAIC, then for the VA hospitals, working with their computer systems at military bases all over the world. He loved to travel, Astronomy, playing basketball, wood working and carving, cameras, computers, motorcycles and fast cars. As well, Richard was a staple at his kids and grandkids schools, dance competitions and BMX tracks, whoever needed help, he was there. He was so many things to so many people, it's impossible to list it all.

Richard was preceded in death by his father and mother; uncles, Ernie and Mel, and daughters, Brenda Sexton and Cathy Roble.

Richard is lovingly survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Roble; his children, Jack and Christina Smith, Tony and Anjelica Roble, Steve and Amy Roble; grandchildren, John Thomas, Madison and Aaron Shaw, Dominic and Jessica Roble, Brittanie, Bethany, Billy Torres, Andrew, Vivian, Tiffany, Jayme, and Nicholette Roble; great grandchildren, Domanick Saiz, Kristin, Landon, Tristan Shaw, Ian, Isabella and Ilathea Roble; cousins, Michael, Marcy, Burke, Marie and Steven; as well as other family , members and friends who loved and will miss him.

Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral and Cremation, 2919 4th St NW, on Friday, Dec 15th at 11:00 am. A reception will follow from 1-5 at the American Legion Post 69, 9000 4th St NW.
