Renee Ilene Gray, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on February 1, 1956, Renee was known for her feisty spirit, infectious humor, and unwavering love for her family. She was as stubborn as she was strong, always standing her ground and fighting fiercely for the people she loved. Her playful streak brought laughter to everyone around her, whether she was pulling one of her trademark jump scares or sharing a witty remark. Renee cared deeply for her family and friends, always putting others before herself. She would give the shirt off her back if it meant helping someone in need. She also found joy and peace in gardening; nurturing her plants with the same care and attention she gave to the people she loved.

Renee was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dorothy and Thomas Gray; her sister Nikki Maes; and her daughter, Gennafer Gray. She is survived by her daughter, Nikkiah Sanchez; her cherished grandchildren; Brayden and Madison Sanchez; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny & Mary Gray and Tim & Lynne Gray; her sister, Kim Gray; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who adored her dearly.

A graveside service to celebrate Renee's life will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

Renee will be remembered for her warmth, stubborn yet loving nature, feisty personality, and the laughter she brought into every room. Her love, generosity, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
