Raymond Montano, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Jan 13th 2024. Born on September 30th,1945 in Golden, New Mexico, he was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Jacob Montano; parents, Antonio and Julia Montano; brothers, Ruben and Andy.

Raymond is survived by his wife Patricia of 57 years; his children, Patrick, Cathy and Roxanne; eight grandchildren; five great grandsons; four brothers; two sisters; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.

As a life-long plaster, he retired from Local Union 254 after 37 years; A trade of which he passed down to both of his sons. Raymond enjoyed his outdoor activities of camping, fishing, hunting and cookouts. He will be remembered for having a passion for New Mexican music, the casinos, the Dallas Cowboys and the UNM Lobos.

Services will be held at St. Therese Church, 3424 4th St NW, on Monday, January 22nd 2024 at 9:00 am; beginning with the Rosary followed by the Mass. Burial will follow at San Carlos Cemetery, 4300 Alameda Path NE. Albuquerque NM.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Ashley, Nicolas, Samantha, Marcos, Marina, Elias, Celia and Maricela.
