Our beloved Raymond Albert Lopez was called home on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Ray was born in Albuquerque on January 5, 1964. His home away from home was in California with his extended family. Ray was proceeded in death by his parents Joe and Eileen Silva Lopez, Grandparents Albert and Sophia Vigil Rodriguez, and Grandparents Tiburcio and Elvira Silva Barreras, along with many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who have gone before him.

Ray was an only child, but had many cousins that would take the place of siblings. Ray wouldn’t have had it any other way, because we all know he Loved being the center of attention. Anyone who knew Ray knew he Loved music, cars that go boom, and having a good time. Ray was a social butterfly just like his mom Eileen, and we all know he was the life of the party.

One of the hardest things about Ray’s illness was that it limited him from the things he Loved doing the most, such as cruising around town, going out to eat, and hanging out with family and friends. The things it didn't stop him from is being funny, feisty, and speaking him mind.

Ray was a source of inspiration, strength, and Love to those fortunate enough to know him. His presence brought joy, laughter, and meaning to the lives of his family and friends. His legacy will live on through us all, through all the cherished memories, and through all the many lives he’s touched.

Ray will always be remembered for his resilience, sense of humor, and his determination to keep fighting the fight. Ray faced many health challenges. Yet, he never gave up or let his disabilities define him. Ray demonstrated that true strength is not measured by physical ability, but by the courage, Love, and faith in which he faced life’s challenges. Although, Ray was blind he had the ability to see us all for who we really are.

A Special acknowledgement and gratitude to all of Ray’s caretakers especially, Natasha, and Sarahai at Ladera Genesis and DCI Dialysis Center. We can’t Thank you enough for all your compassionate care, prayers, and on going support. None of this would be possible without the on going Love and support from his Cousins Sandra, Cortez, Dennis Romero and Sylvia Pizana.

Ray’s life was a blessing. His memory a treasure and his legacy of courage, faith, and inspiration will never be forgotten. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and he will forever be missed but Never Forgotten. In Ray’s memory, we ask that you live, laugh, and Love intensely because tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone.
