Obituary

Priscilla Maria Santistevan, age 91, was born on August 16, 1934, in Peñasco, New Mexico.

Priscilla spent the majority of her life in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before relocating to Richardson, Texas, where she resided with her daughter when she was no longer able to live independently. Her daughter and granddaughters are so grateful she chose to spend her last years with them.

After a lengthy battle with dementia, Priscilla closed her eyes and passed peacefully with her daughter, granddaughters, and great grandchildren by her side.

A devoted member of the Catholic Church, Priscilla was deeply involved in her faith community alongside her beloved husband, Deacon Patrick Santistevan. She attended San Martin and Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish and actively participated in Cursillo, Marriage Enrichment programs, Youth and Religious Ministries. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life and a source of strength and inspiration to those around her.

Priscilla will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. She found joy in time spent with loved ones and created a lasting legacy through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith.

She is survived by her children, Dolores Dorso, Robert Santistevan (Deborah) and Vincent Santistevan (Maryann). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Michelle Varela (Nick), Sarah Lewis (Rhea), Stephanie Capak and Calvin Santistevan; her great-grandchildren, Jacob Varela, Hailey Varela and Lucas Capak. Priscilla is also survived by her beloved cat, Ninja, who brought her great comfort and companionship during her stay in Texas. She also leaves behind extended family and cherished friends.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Mascarenas; her devoted husband of 50 years, Deacon Patrick Santistevan and by her son, Ted Santistevan.

A Rosary will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband and son.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in hope of advancing research toward a cure for this devastating disease.

Until we meet again, we say goodbye with love, gratitude, and hope. She will be deeply missed,

always remembered, and forever cherished in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
