Philip Gregory Lovato, Sr.

1951- 2024

Philip Gregory Lovato passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.  He was born and raised in Clayton and graduated from Clayton High School in 1969.  During high school, Gregory met Charlotte Garcia and in 1971 were married.  In 1972, Gregory and Charlotte were blessed with a daughter, Ursula, and again in 1975 blessed with a son, Philip Jr.

Gregory honorably served in the US Army and also in the US Air Force until his retirement.  His military career took him to many parts of the world and he experienced many different cultures.  After his retirement, he dedicated his time participating in the many activities of his four grandchildren. Gregory always enjoyed spending time at his ranch with the grandchildren telling stories of his life on the ranch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Toby and Joan Lovato.

Gregory is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lovato; daughter, Ursula Lovato and grandson, Jacob Lovato; son, Philip Lovato Jr, daughter-in-law, Debbie Lovato and granddaughters, Makayla, Sydney and Riley Lovato; and his dog Max.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 24,2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm at the NALC,124 Monroe St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
