Phil Ambrose Candelaria, our beloved son, brother and father was born on July 8th, 1978, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away on Wednesday, January 18 ^th , 2023.

He was born to Phil and MaryJane Candelaria, he leaves behind one son, Phil Isaiah Candelaria. He is survived by his sister, Lucinda and her spouse Billy, and a niece and nephew, Magdalena and Elijah. Phil had several aunts and uncles; auntie Perma, his Nina, auntie Frances, auntie Isabel and auntie Stella. Also, uncle Junior, uncle Arthur, uncle Joe, uncle Sal, as well as many cousins and friends who loved him and will miss him very much. And to the family he will be joining in paradise, his sister, Lucia; grandma Lucero, Candelaria grandparents, uncle Robert, auntie Edna and auntie Marcia.

Phil was close to so many people, he had many friends. Some of his best friends were Randy, JB and Sandy. He imprinted on the hearts of everyone who knew him. Phil Ambrose graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1996. He played the saxophone in the school band, from then on music was his passion. Whether he listened to it, or played it, music just made him happy. Phil became a DJ, he made a life for himself doing "gigs" for weddings, parties and several different events. He called himself, DJ Phil Good. He performed live on a streaming service called, Twitch. He met other DJ's all around and ended up becoming good friends with many of them. Even though Ambrose was dealing with health issues, he still managed to make all of his gigs and events. Phil battled with diabetes for most of his life. He was in and out of the hospital many times. He fought hard, but he eventually needed a kidney transplant, which he received 10 years ago. Ambrose loved his son, Philly they were very close even though Philly lived in Denver. Philly was his pride and joy. Phil and his sister enjoyed doing music and movie trivia, he was the oldest of the two. He went to Billy and Lucinda's for the holidays, he always showered his niece and nephew with gifts.  Phil's favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboy's and he enjoyed watching them on TV. He even made it to a couple of games. Ambrose was a fun-loving guy, he made jokes with everyone even when he was in the hospital he'd joke with the nurses. He will be cherished and loved forever and he will be held close to our hearts. To the parents of Ambrose, Phil and Maryjane, "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Services will be held at Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Alameda 9502 4th Street N.W., on Wednesday, January 25 ^th , 2023.  The rosary will be recited at 8:00 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Phil Ambrose will then be laid to rest and buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd. N.E.. A reception will follow the burial at Thee Moose Lodge across from Mt. Calvary. Pallbearers will be Billy, Elijah, Angelo, Robbie, Mike and Randy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Uncle Junior, Paul, Charlie and Andrew.
