Pauline
Otero
Apr 30, 1944 — Nov 18, 2023
Rio Rancho
Pauline Otero (Gillean)
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Pauline, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on November 18, 2023 at the age of 79, she was surrounded by family. She was also accompanied by her loving pet companion Roxie. She was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico on April 30, 1944. She was known to much of her family as "Sis" or "Sister".
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, John (Lefty), her parents RC and Vivian Gillean and many other relatives and friends.
She was a beloved mother to son Ed Otero and wife Carla, son John Otero, daughter Monica Romero and husband Gilbert, and son Michael Otero. Pauline was a proud grandmother of Desiree, Sarah, Jessica, Ariana and Tori. Pauline was the youngest and only girl with four brothers for whom she is survived by Charlie Angel, Ed Gillean, Victor Gillean, and Greg Gillean.
She loved to cook and bake. It has been said by many that she could whip up a five-course meal with an empty pantry and refrigerator in no time.
Pauline enjoyed sewing. She sewed drapes and curtains for living and clothes for her kids and grandkids for fun.
Most of all she loved her family. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
