Paul Robert Lucero Sr., age 76, passed away into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, August 12, 2022. He will be fondly remembered by many names; Bobby, Cat, Bub, Papa Bull, Pops, Mijo, Papa, Bubbles, and Cunyow.

He was a Graduate of Bernalillo high school. He then went into the New Mexico Air National Guard and was shipped off to Vietnam.  At that time he met his first wife JoAnn and had 3 handsome sons and they all resided in the North Valley of Albuquerque.

Paul was a Carpenter by trade but if you ask anyone he was a jack of all trades and master of none.  He loved doing wood working and welding art and furniture.  You name it he could do anything.  It might take a time or two but he would get it done.  He loved to fish and camp he visited countless oceans, lakes, rivers and streams trying to catch the big one.  Paul grew up on a ranch with his parents and siblings where he learned to work hard and that he did his whole life. As well he was an accomplished traveler, visiting most of the United States, Mexico, Europe and South America.

Paul was preceded in death by his first wife JoAnn M. Lucero; son, Paul Lucero Jr.; parents, Clarence and Bertha Lucero; by his sister Isabelita and his grandparents, In-laws, cousins and friends all of whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his 2 ^nd wife, Corina F. Lucero; loving children, Joseph (Bull) and wife Cecilia,  Steven (Lil Bull) and wife Jackie; stepchildren, Linda and husband Dillion, Simon and wife Carly; grandchildren, Steven Jr. (Guero), Samantha, Jackson,  James and wife Ana, Joseph Jr. (JoJo) and wife Jessica, Alexandra Taft and husband Jesse, Mariana, Anjelica, Paul III, Laila, Amora and Dillon jr. great grandchildren Jada, Kiana, Alysa, and Santiago; his brothers and sisters, Clara (Robert), Roger, Herman (Pearl), Ramona (Monie) (Frankie); brothers and sisters in law, Ray (Ernestine), Raul, Loretta, George, Oscar, Jesse, and Carlos; all of his beloved nieces and nephews, Ron, Roberta, Mark, Chris, Herman, Lori, Valerie, Frankie, Vincent, Christine, Brenda, James, Roger and Michael; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.  Special thanks to the care givers that helped and loved my father, he truly appreciated them.

Funeral Services will be held at Church of the Incarnation, 2309 Monterrey Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144, on Tuesday, August 23 ^rd , 2022. The viewing will begin at 9:00 am. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Following the funeral mass there will be a reception with family and friends of Paul at the parish hall there at the church.  The Eulogy will be presented by Roberta Padilla and Steven Lucero Jr.

Paul will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 1:30 pm. Due to limited time and space there, please be on time if you plan to attend.  Thank you.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Steven Jr., Jackson, James, Joseph Jr., Paul III and Simon. Honorary Pallbearers will be his brothers in-law, Robert, Frankie, Ray, Raul, George, Oscar, and many nephews and nieces.
