Paul Alderete "Pablo", age 73, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at home, very peacefully with his family by his side. He lost his battle with cancer, but fought like a trooper all of the way to the end.

Paul had such a big heart. He was selfless and touched everyone who knew him. Paul worked for the City of Albuquerque for 17 years. As well, he was a painter, welder and a jack of all trades that enjoyed raising and breeding sheep. He also loved fishing, his trips to Laughlin, watching sports and soap operas on TV. Paul will be remembered as an amazing man who will be greatly missed and who will live in our hearts forever.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, and by his beloved son, Michael Paul Alderete.

He is survived by his princess of 50 years, Yolanda; his two precious girls; his daughter, Stephanie Alderete and granddaughter, Destiny Alderete; several nieces and nephews as well as other family members and many friends who loved and will miss him.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at New Beginnings Church, 4770 Montgomery Blvd. NE., on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
