Patrick Michael Wightman "Pat" was born March 18, 1947 in Buffalo, New York. He passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

Pat will be remembered for his love of classic cars, his humor, love of art, woodworking, gardening, cooking and especially his love of music. He enjoyed art so much, he and his sister, Kathy and his niece Jennette, toured the Buffalo Art Museum because Pat was a fan of the famous Campbells Soup Can Gallery Display of Andy Warhol, that had become a landmark work in Warhol's career and a defining moment in the Pop Art movement.

His passion was cars and attending numerous car shows with his beautifully restored classic cars. Pat would always be seen at local car shows, wearing his favorite Hawaiian shirt, and visiting with the many friends he had. As well, he enjoyed NASCAR, drag racing and of course the Buffalo Bills! Many knew Pat had special love of Woodstock, having attended the event in Bethel, New York and he even ended up sacrificing his job to be there for the event that spanned several days and made history on many fronts.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjorie Wightman; his two brothers, John Alexander and Paul Harold Wightman and by his sister, Marjorie Klementowski.

He is lovingly survived by his two siblings, David Wightman and wife Karen of Getzville, New York and by Kathy Luehring of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nieces and nephews, Jennette Luehring of Chicago, Illinois, Debra Reisenthel of Las Vegas, NV, Sandra Wightman of Port St Lucie, FL and Bonnie Wightman of Getzvillle, New York, Geoffrey Luehring and wife Crystal and Kristopher Luehring all of Albuquerque; "special granddaughter" Riley Luehring of Albuquerque as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly.

The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW., on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor Tony Jaramillo. Pat will then be taken to Amherst, New York for a final graveside service and interment in the Wightman Family Plot at White Chapel Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Kathy Luehring to assist with the funeral expenses.
