On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Patrick L. Martinez, age 72, passed away peacefully with family by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Dora Martinez; son Jesse Martinez; brothers Paul Martinez & Steve Martinez; niece Jacqueline Aragon.
Patrick is survived by his wife Debi Vargas; children Michelle Durham, Lynette Martinez, Dominic Martinez, Anthony Martinez, Vincent Martinez, and Tiffany & Tammi Mondragon; Grandchildren, Tim, Autumn, Jessie, Santino, Nathaniel, Jesse, Ramona, Elizabeth, Alyssa, & Dominic; Great grandson, Grayson; siblings Phillip and Lorraine Martinez, Peter and Terrilyn Martinez, Jo Madeline Montoya, Perry and Margie Martinez, MaryAnn Olguin, Rita Martinez, Barbara and Robert Gallegos, and Benny Martinez; Aunt Rita; As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and two fur babies Roxy and Blanca who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
Patrick served in the Army at the age of 17 to help provide for his parents and siblings. He was stationed in Hawaii and always talked about how beautiful it was and wanted to go back to visit. Patrick loved his San Fransico 49ers, as well as fishing, working on computers, listening to his NM music, he especially loCved playing keno at the casino, and going on Sunday drives DAILY. Patrick was always in a good mood, loved conversating with his loved ones sharing all his stories, and being around everyone he loved was his favorite. He never ever complained despite his disability. Patrick enjoyed all his life adventures with his honey, Debi by his side.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 beginning at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 8:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 820 Broadway Blvd. SE. Burial will also take place on Friday at 12:30 p.m. with military honors.
