Obituary

Patrick Lee Gorman "Pat" born on June 13th, 1945 to Miles B. and Myra P. Gorman of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

Patrick graduated from Valley High School before serving in the U.S. Army, where he developed a deep affection for Germany and its culture. After his military service, he worked at the United States Post Office until his retirement in 2005, serving as a Supervisor of Distribution Operations. He was recognized for his dedication and mentoring throughout his career.

Pat was known for his quick wit and his sense of humor.  He often made homemade greeting cards to reflect the same.  He enjoyed many hobbies including camping, collecting various items of interest, fishing, reading, metal detecting, wood- working, sketch art, weaponry and home- brewing. He found joy in teaching and generously sharing his knowledge. If one expressed a need for something that wasn't yet created, he was quick to build a prototype.

Pat adored his furry companions "Gryf" and "Max" and was known to ride around with Max in the sidecar of his motorcycle.

Pat leaves behind his daughters, Tracy Gorman-Hall and her husband Scott, and Lori Davis; his grandson, Chandler Hall; his great-granddaughters, Madilynn and Camille Hall and his sister, Cynthia Gorman-Propper and her husband Webster (Bud).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's name to Animal Humane New Mexico. A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date.
