Patricia Rose (Giomi) Wilson passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Born April 3, 1930, to Guido and Dorothy (McNerney) Giomi, Patsy was a descendant of one of the pioneer Italian families emigrating from Italy to Albuquerque in the late 1800s. As one of four sisters, Patsy attended Saint Vincent Academy as a young girl, and later attended Albuquerque High School. Soon after her high school graduation, she met the love of her life, Art Wilson. As the story was told, the couple met at the old Acapulco pool and Art, a lifeguard there, fell head over heels in love with Patsy, a dark-haired beauty. They soon married and then raised four children in the wonderful adobe home they built in Tijeras. Primarily a homemaker, Patsy enjoyed making lovely dresses for her daughters, tending her rose garden, and square dancing with friends. Boisterous extended family gatherings were abundant! Whether attending their children's numerous sporting events or enjoying frequent sailboat and camping adventures, Patsy and Art always made family time a priority. They were blessed with 72 years of happy marriage until Art's passing in 2021.

Most recently, Patsy had been tenderly cared for in an assisted living facility, A Love for Life. She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and would pray the Lord's Prayer aloud with her family until her very last days.

Patsy is survived by her four children; Laurie Ashcraft (Ron); Denise Thrash (Jim); Britt Wilson (Kathy); and Amy Turner (J.R.); 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. In addition to Art, she was preceded in death by her three sisters; Jolene Lease, Dorothy Isburgh, and Connie Ball, and a beloved great-grandson; Tyler Hayden.

A memorial service and celebration of Patsy's beautiful life is being planned for early October. Interment of ashes will take place beside her loving husband in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.
