Nicholas “Kino” Martinez went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2026 at the age of 48 years young. Kino was a welcomed addition to the Martinez family in December of 1977. He was the fifth adopted child of Max and Edwina Martinez. He grew up in Albuquerque’s North Valley. Kino attended St. Therese Catholic School then St. Mary’s Catholic School. He graduated from Del Norte High Scholl. Kino was a one of a kind. He loved music (Madonna), holiday decorating, and enjoyed helping others anytime any place no questions asked. Above all, he loved spending time with family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his dad Max and his mom Edwina Martinez. 

He is survived by his sister Diana and spouse; brother Paul; sister Joanna; brother Dominic and spouse; nephews Andrew and Sean; nieces Gina, Ashley, Kennedi, Kaitlin and Madison along with his great nieces and nephews.

Our God is an awesome God! He called Kino home and now he is dancing on streets of gold with mom and dad. We will miss you little brother/ uncle. Your pain is gone and now you rest. We love you!
