Moises Sanchez Sr. of ABQ, NM passed away peacefully at home, July 1, 2022 with his wife and sons at his side. Moises was born on June 4, 1932, in Tajique, NM to Benses and Antonia Sanchez. Moises worked for the NM Railroads as a young man as well as the City of Albuquerque. For the remainder of his career, he worked at the University of NM for 30 years where he retired in 1997.

Moises loved to sell at the ABQ Flea Market with his wife Bernie. He would enjoy getting visits from his children and grandchildren while selling. On Sundays he enjoyed going to the day matinee with his wife Bernie. He was a lifelong member of St. Annes Catholic Church.

Moises is preceded in death by his parents, Benses and Antonia Sanchez;  brothers, Frank and Jesus Sanchez. Moises is survived by his beautiful wife of 68 years, Bernadita (Bernie) Sanchez; sons, Mike (Caroline), Mark (Fran), Moises (Janie), Robert (Patricia), Chris and Ricky; sisters, Mary Chavez and Luigi Sedillo;  his loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services for Moises will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 8:00 am, St Annes Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW ABQ. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 1900 Edith NE, ABQ. Pallbearers will be his loving grandsons, Rudy Griego, JR, Robert Griego, John Sanchez, James Sanchez, Christopher Sanchez, Carlos Chavez, at Matt Chavez. Following the services, will be a reception for Moises' family and friends at St. Annes Catholic Church Parish Hall at 12noon.
