Michael Vance Rowe

1958 - 2025

Michael Vance Rowe was born on May 19, 1958, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was called home into the loving arms of our Lord, September 30, 2025.

Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, his positive spirit, and his wonderful sense of humor. He loved music, especially rock and roll, and had a lifelong passion for playing the guitar. He was happiest surrounded by laughter and the company of his family and friends.

Michael was adventurous and free-spirited, a man who lived life on his own terms. He served his country with pride and was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He could fix just about anything, whether it was a car, a guitar, or a problem that needed solving. He enjoyed camping, fishing, working on cars, grilling a good steak, and sipping his favorite beverage, Dr. Pepper. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will live on forever.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice Rowe; his father, Richard Rowe; his son, Michael (Mikey) Rowe and by his daughter, Athena Garcia.

He is survived by his children, Tamara Baros and her husband, Richard O'Neill; Lazarus Rowe; Sarah Rowe and her husband Joel Weigle, Eden Quintana and her fiancée Gabriel Torrez; his mother, Lorraine Rowe; his brother, Steven Rowe; his sister, Leilani Rowe; three grandchildren, Connor, Athena and Aoife; his former wife, Darlene Rowe; as well as extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Although gone too soon, Michael lived a full and meaningful life, one filled with family, love, laughter, and music. His spirit will continue to shine through the lives of those who knew and loved him. He is at peace now and will be held in the everlasting love of our Lord.

A Rosary and Service will be held at in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Home, 2919 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87107 on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11:00 am.

A Reception will follow at Revel Backstage, 4720 Alexander Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm

Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with U.S. Army Honors.
