Mr. Michael Joseph Fico, age 41, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 1, 2022. He was a man of many accomplishments. He wrestled and played football in his younger years and was a UNM graduate. He worked as a general contractor and a projects/sales manager for over 20 years.

Michael had many roles in life, but his favorite roles were that of son and father. Nothing made him happier than being involved with his children and their activities. He also loved to travel the world. Michael was truly adored by his family and friends, always had a twinkle in his eye and had the best laugh ever.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Hilda Nordeman, Harry Kunsman, Leonard Joseph Nordeman, and Elisa and Capi Echavarria.

He is survived by his mother Debbie Fico and father Fernando Echavarria; two sons Brody Michael Fico and Kassius Silva Fico; partner of over 20 years Holly Silva; two aunts Cassie Magee and Juanita Mull; uncle Leonard "Bubbie" Nordeman; close friend and mentor Robert Strahle; cousins (Robbie and Sandi Williamson; Laurie, Gabe and Maddie Gomez; and Cassie and Gabby Nordeman), in-laws Mike and Robin Sandler and Bill and Dorothy Silva, and sister-in-law Brandy Silva.

Mass of a Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
