Marylynn Diane Wafer Ackerman was born on July 13, 1949 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was called home by God on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Marylynn loved her family; she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
She was always there to offer support, love, understanding, and care for her family and friends. She would move heaven and earth to help in any way that she could. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren so very much. Marylynn selflessly would offer to do anything she could to help her family and friends, no matter the day or time. She loved, and was loved fully and completely. She took immense pride in her family and treasured every minute spent with them.
Marylynn was kind, caring, and had a fire spirit. She was principled and stood her ground for what she believed. She loved the Lord and attending church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, making and selling crafts, and participating in many community groups. She reveled in family get-togethers and game nights. Marylynn loved to travel, she went on many adventures with her husband and mother, children, grandchildren and siblings
Marylynn was loved by her family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else who came into her life. Her big heart and kind soul made it impossible not to love her. She meant everything to her family, and she will be deeply missed and remembered with love and faith.
Marylynn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ackerman; mother, Rita Wafer; father, Marvin Wafer Sr; brothers, Mick and wife Marie Wafer, Tom and wife Donna Wafer, and Dave and wife Sally Wafer.
Marylynn is survived by her daughters, Diana and husband David Kelch, Tanya and husband Jeremy Franchell; son, Robert Ackerman; grandchildren, Matt Ackerman, Gus Kelch, Mikayla Ackerman, Kameron Ackerman, Audrey Kelch and James Franchell; great-grandchild, Maisyn Ackerman; siblings, Russ and wife Cynthia Wafer, Lorri Wafer, Don and wife Chris Wafer, Bill and Wife Barbara Wafer, Rick Wafer, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
Marylynn's celebration of life will be held at Sagebrush Church-Uptown, 1613 Arizona St. NE., on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the (Rheumatoid) Arthritis Foundation, Home Office
