Mary Silva, 88, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully Friday, August 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Joe Silva of 49 years, her loving daughter Marylou Martinez of 51 years, and her great grandson Joseph Silva of 22 years.
She is survived by her three children: John Silva, and wife Cecilia Silva, Sarah Martinez, Gina Tafoya and husband Ryan Tafoya. Her son-in-law Ronnie Martinez. Her Grandchildren: Josette Davis and husband Clinton Davis, Angela Martinez, Reve Martinez and husband Rudy Quintana, Felicia Martinez, Brandi Pino, Rico Silva, Stefanie Portillos and husband Jared Portillos, Andrea Ewing and husband Brandon Ewing. Her Great Grandchildren: Christopher Davis, Jasmine Sandoval, Mason Vallez, Isaiah Quintana, Josiah Quintana, Kingston Dodd, Destiny Romero, Aiden Romero, Diego Ordonza, Alexis Torres and husband Blas Torres, Robert Silva, Diego Silva, Jaden Silva, Layla Silva, Alex Silva, Jacob Silva, Cheri Portillos, Avery Portillos, Amyra Portillos, Jonah Portillos, Layla Portillos, Abram Portillos, Jadon Palacio, and Syrena Palacio. Her four Great-Great Grandchildren: Carter Davis, Joseph Silva, Mariposa Silva, Elani Torres.
Mary lived a happy life of simplicity with her large and loving family. She loved watching her game shows and loved working on her word search puzzles. She loved going to Chili's once a week with her daughter Sarah and made special friends like Corina who always made her feel welcomed there. She also looked forward to going to Laughlin once a year with her longtime friend Olivia Valdez.
Her family would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your love and support during this difficult time. We have been comforted by so many that loved Mary, and it shows how much she will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
