It is with great sadness that we announce our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mary Ann Baca, age 80, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.  She was born April 16, 1941 and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Pargas, father Lee Pargas, husband Johnnie S Baca, and daughter Joann Snyder.   She is survived by her children Johnnie Jr. & Juanita Baca, Victor Baca and wife Carrie, Sandra Baca, Frank Baca and Bernadette & Glenn Philipbar along with her 16 Grandchildren and her 26 Great-Grandchildren who will all miss her very much.

Her amazing legacy will live on for many generations.   She imparted so much love on those that she knew and loved.  She set the example of how to love and what it means to be a mother.  She always had a great devotion to her children and grandchildren.  As the Matriarch of our family, she left us her influence of love, tolerance, forgiveness and loyalty and will be greatly missed.

She will also be missed dearly by her friends who she worked with.   They became sisters to her.  They all loved each other very much and our family is very thankful for their friendship that they showered upon her.

A Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 @ St. Jude Thaddeus Church located at 5712 Paradise Blvd NW. The viewing will be 10:15 – 10:45 am, Eulogy will be at 10:45 am and Mass starting promptly at 11:00 am.  Masks will be mandatory for the services.  Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery and reception to follow.

Pallbearers will be her Grandsons Johnny Herrera Sr., Glenn Philipbar Jr., David Philipbar, Stephen Snyder,  Franki Baca Jr, Dominick Moyer, Marcus Baca and Great Grandson Johnny Herrera Jr.
