Obituary

Marvin Lee Mankle died peacefully at his home on Friday, December 31, 2021. He was born in Topeka Kansas, May 25, 1928 to Charles and Emma Mankle.

Marvin Honorably served his country in the US Army/ Air Force from 1946 - 1949.

He worked for Childers manufacturing as representative covering eight states, wearing out a car every year, while troubleshooting and promoting the company. Later in life he worked for Hiway Heating Systems. He then returned to Topeka, Kansas with his wife Ruth and lived there until 2010, returning to New Mexico to enjoy the last of his retirement years here.

Marvin often said deprecatingly, that he was a "man of many skills, but master of none". When in fact he was a creative engineer that managed to fix, repair, or build almost anything the family needed over the years. He mastered a great deal of things during his ninety-three years walking this earth.

He will be remembered a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, and beloved by many.

Marvin was preceded in death by his mother, father, sisters, his children's mother and wife, Ruth Mankle. He is lovingly survived by his children, Steven Mankle, Raymond Mankle, Larry Roundy and wife Cherise, Kindra Lutz and husband Tom Lutz, Sherry Armer and Jackson Weishaupl.

"You don't just lose someone once, you lose them every day, for a lifetime."

A Celebration of Life will be held in May 2022.
