Resident of Albuquerque since 1973. He was self-employed as Abraham & Son Painting Residential-Commercial for over 35 years and worked as a Private Nurse for 20 years..
He attended public schools in Cass City, Pigeon, and Elkton. At age 13 he was accepted at St. Paul Seminary of Saginaw High School. Mark was the editor of the seminary newspaper. "The Sword."A fabulous writer! He graduated from there June 4, 1965, Mark always said that was the best education he received. He had a change of heart continuing this path and became a student of English & Literature. He was a State Scholarship winner in (1965-1966) He was proud that his parents never had to pay for his education. He continued his journey at Aquinas College, University of Michigan and University of New Mexico.
Mark was a loving, kind, compassionate mentor. A spiritual messenger. A philosopher & scholar, books were his best friends. He appreciated great writers; Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, Thomas Merton, Marston Bates, Willa Cather, Henry Miller, William Glasser M.D., & Robertson Davies. He read 68 books in 2020.
He was proud of his Polish heritage. He would quote often. "Our lineage is our strength." For many years Mark and Lisa worked on their family genealogy and organized several family reunions. Baseball was his religion. He loved to work. Often he would say that his painting and nursing clients were his community and church. He lived soulfully. Mark and Lisa enjoyed traveling, exercising, and dancing. He added ZEST and interest to our routine lives. We will feel his absence. God broke our hearts to prove to us - He only takes the best.
