Marilyne Mabery was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 6, 1952 to James Howard and Betty Lu Moyers. She passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Marilyne was raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico and graduated from Carlsbad High school. She married and attended New Mexico Highlands University earning a BA degree and then MA degree.
Marilyne worked in the park service most of her career in Chaco Canyon and in the Grants, New Mexico area. As well, Marilyne authored several books as she loved to write. Her most noted books were "Right after Sundown", a teaching novel based on the Navajo and "Inter Cycles of Health Living with MS".
Marilyne is survived by her brother James W. Moyers living in Tillamook Oregon.
