January 19, 1939 to November 17, 2025

Marcella, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great, great grandmother was a very kind and loving person and was loved by many. She was born January 19, 1939 in Placitas, New Mexico. She passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025.

Marcella and her husband Johnny Sanchez had just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Their love was special and admired by their family. Jesus Christ was the center of her life followed by her husband and family. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family. Marcella will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Johnny Sanchez; sons, Robert Sanchez and wife Anna Sanchez and Raymond Sanchez; daughters, Irene Sanchez and Ruby Sanchez Rodriguez; sister, Charlotte Perez; brothers, Willie Arriola, Juan Escarcida wife Geraldine Escarcida, Andrew Escarcida wife Michelle Escarcida; sister-in-law, Kathy Escarcida; granddaughters, Stephanie Sanchez, Christina Sanchez, Amy Rodriguez, Danielle Keeble husband Cody Keeble; grandsons, Andrew Sanchez wife Dyana Potts Sanchez, Aaron Rodriguez wife Erin Rodriguez, Jonathan Michael and Christopher Sanchez (deceased); great grandchildren, Crystal Sanchez Baca husband Jesse Baca, Alexis Sanchez Santos husband Jay Santos, Caitlin Potts, Tyler Potts, Natalia Arias, Dimitri Arias, Daizha Sanchez, Piper Keeble, Wyatt Keeble, Abigail Rodriguez, Morgan Coogler, Marina Coogler; preborn baby girl, Rodriguez; great great grandchild, Damon Baca; as well as other family members and friends who will remember her in their hearts forever.

The Memorial Service held at New Beginnings Church, 4770 Montgomery Blvd. NE. ABQ., NM, on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 10:00 am. The Burial follow at the Placitas Land Grant Cemetery. Please join the family following the burial for a reception and gathering at the Placitas Presbyterian Church, 7 Paseo de San Antonio Rd. Placitas, NM. 87043
