Lydia Maxine Garcia

October 29, 1961 – December 1, 2021

Lydia M. Garcia was a devoted wife, a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed. She was called home to heaven on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Lydia was born October 29, 1961 in Bernalillo, New Mexico. She lived in Albuquerque and raised a family which she was so devoted to and proud of. She loved making arts and crafts, vacationing in Las Vegas, Nevada, going to the ranch and spending time with her treasured family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert "Teles" and Bertha Lovato. Lydia is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald Garcia; three daughters, Linda Lovato and husband Jonathan, Anita Lucero and husband Michael, Reina Dominguez and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Jasmine, Bethany, Johnnessa, Little Michael, Lysa, Emily and Max; great grandchildren, Little Jason and Sienna; three sisters, Irene Aragon and husband Johnny, Donna Gutierrez and husband Rick and Ruby Lovato; two brothers, Jesse Lovato and wife Cheryl and Tim Lovato; several nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss her greatly.

Services will be held at Iglesia de San Luis Gonzaga in San Luis, New Mexico, on Friday, December 17, 2021. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
