Lizzie Archibeque

March 17, 1934 - November 3, 2022

Our loving angel was called home to be with our Lord spending her last days at home after battling a lengthy illness. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. Lizzie was a homemaker and longtime storekeeper/owner of thirty-six years with Mountain View Grocery alongside her mother. She cared for and took pride in watching over friends and family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well, Lizzie was an amazing cook who always made sure you had something to eat before you left her home or took home leftovers, neither of which you could refuse.

She is preceded by her parents (Pedro and Aurelia Gurule), brothers (Martin, Clory (Red) and Pete) and sisters (Josephita and Grace).

She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years (Jacob J. Archibeque), sons (Jake and Rosie Archibeque, Ray Archibeque), grandchildren (Andrea and Abram Torrez, Kimberly, Kenny, Yolanda, Marcos, Isaac and Kirsten, Isabella) and great grandchildren (Abram Jr., Duke and Roman) and special niece Kathy Nieto.

Please join the family for services at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo; rosary and eulogy beginning at 10:00am followed by mass at 10:30am Thursday, November 17, 2022. Internment will follow at the Placitas Catholic Cemetery with a reception after at Our Lady of Sorrows Social Center in Bernalillo, NM.
